Where the Bourkes name comes from
Harold Bourke opened Bourkes Florist Gift and Garden Centre in Armidale, NSW, in 1978. He ran it until the mid-1990s, when he sold the business, and the shop later closed.
In 2023 Harold’s grandson Harry brought the name back as an online florist. There is no Bourkes shop today: every order is arranged and hand-delivered by an expert florist in our nationwide network, same-day to every major city and most towns and next business day for the rest.

Harry Bourke
Harry is Harold Bourke’s grandson and grew up around his grandfather’s Armidale shop. After it closed, he brought the Bourkes name back online in 2023, and he runs Bourkes Florist today.
He writes the Bourkes Journal to help people send something genuinely thoughtful — not just a bunch of flowers.
